Mikel Merino Shines Again as Spain Secure Another Victory

Spain continued their strong UEFA Nations League campaign with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Croatia, with Mikel Merino once again playing a decisive role.

Merino was the difference-maker for Spain, finding the net twice and continuing a remarkable spell of form in front of goal. His latest performance further underlines his growing importance to the Spanish national team.

Merino Making His Mark

After producing another influential display, Merino has quickly become one of the players attracting attention during Spain's current run.

His ability to arrive in dangerous positions, contribute goals and remain involved in Spain's attacking play has given the team another valuable option in the final third.

The midfielder's latest brace means he has now scored three goals across his last two games, highlighting just how effective he has been recently.

Perišić Provides Croatia's Response

Croatia also had their moment through Ivan Perišić, who continued to write his name into the country's football history.

Perišić's goal was his 40th for Croatia at international level, another milestone in an already remarkable career with the national team.

Despite Croatia's response, Spain remained composed and managed to protect their advantage until the final whistle.

Spain Continue to Impress

The victory gives Spain another important result and further strengthens their position in the Nations League.

For Merino, meanwhile, the spotlight continues to grow. His recent scoring form has transformed him into one of Spain's most influential players and gives the national team another major attacking threat.

With more matches ahead, all eyes will be on whether Merino can maintain this remarkable run.
