ITALY SHOW THEIR FIGHTING SPIRIT TO BEAT TÜRKİYE 3–1 🇮🇹🔥

Italy have continued their positive run in the UEFA Nations League with a 3–1 victory over Türkiye at the Renato Dall'Ara in Bologna.

The Azzurri were tested throughout the night, particularly after Türkiye found an equaliser in the second half, but Italy produced the response that mattered.

SCAMACCA BREAKS THE DEADLOCK

Italy had to wait until the 26th minute to make the breakthrough.

Gianluca Scamacca reacted quickest inside the box and finished from close range to put Roberto Mancini's side in front.

Türkiye continued to create problems, but Italy carried their narrow advantage into the interval.

TÜRKİYE LEVEL THE GAME

The visitors came out with renewed energy after half-time.

Their pressure eventually paid off in the 61st minute when Aral Şimşir finished from inside the box to bring Türkiye back to 1–1.

The match was suddenly wide open.

Italy, however, refused to allow the momentum to disappear.

CALAFIORI MAKES HISTORY

Just minutes after Türkiye's equaliser, Italy regained the lead.

Nicolò Barella delivered a dangerous free-kick into the area, and Riccardo Calafiori rose to meet it with a powerful header.

The ball found the net and Italy were back in front.

It was a special moment for Calafiori — his first goal for the Italian national team. 🇮🇹👏

PIO ESPOSITO SEALS IT

Türkiye pushed for another equaliser, but Italy found the decisive third goal late in the match.

Francesco Pio Esposito reacted quickest inside the box in the 87th minute and finished from close range to make it 3–1.

The young forward's goal ended Türkiye's hopes of another comeback.

ITALY CLIMB TO SECOND

The victory gives Italy seven points from their opening four Group A1 matches.

With France beating Belgium on the same night, the Azzurri move into second place behind the French.

Italy's recent run has now produced a draw against France followed by victory over Türkiye, giving the team plenty of momentum heading into the next stage of the competition.

A NIGHT OF RESILIENCE

Italy did not have everything their own way in Bologna.

They were challenged after Türkiye's equaliser, but the response showed character.

Scamacca started the scoring, Calafiori restored the lead and Pio Esposito put the result beyond doubt.

Italy fought back, finished strong and took the points. 🇮🇹💙
