Barcelona to Wear Last Season’s Third Kit Against PSG After UEFA Rejects Current Shirts

Barcelona will reportedly wear their orange third kit from last season against Paris Saint-Germain after UEFA rejected all three of their current kits over concerns about colour contrast with PSG’s navy shirt.

Barcelona are preparing for a major European showdown with PSG, but the attention has extended beyond the football itself, with the clubs’ kits becoming a talking point ahead of the match.

UEFA’s Kit Decision

According to reports, UEFA rejected Barcelona’s three current kits because they did not provide sufficient contrast with PSG’s navy playing shirt. The decision means Barcelona will turn to an alternative kit to ensure both teams can be clearly distinguished on the pitch.

The requirement for clear colour contrast is important in professional football, helping players, match officials and spectators distinguish between the two sides during the game.

Barcelona to Bring Back the Orange Kit

Barcelona are expected to use their orange third kit from last season for the fixture. The kit offers a much brighter colour compared with PSG’s dark navy strip, making it a suitable alternative for the European encounter.

The change will also give supporters another opportunity to see Barcelona in a kit that differs from their traditional blue-and-red home colours.

A Huge European Test Awaits

With both clubs boasting considerable attacking quality, the meeting promises to attract plenty of attention from football fans. Barcelona will hope their preparations translate into a strong performance, while PSG will be determined to make the most of their home advantage if the match is played in Paris.

Although the kit decision has generated discussion, the biggest question remains what happens on the pitch when these European heavyweights meet.
